Barneys makes pricey fall clothes kind of fun

Here’s a quirky¬†video by Barneys that showcases this fall’s trends. Basically, two editors from Marie Claire play dress-up with overpriced clothes. However, if you ignore the scary price bubbles, it’s actually a useful way to highlight the season’s trends and how to wear them. And while even one piece would blow my seasonal shopping budget in one fell swoop, there are some good ideas mixed in. I promise.

Check it out:

I love the pairing of different fabrics: rugged leather skirt, graphic printed blouse, classic knit cardigan. Plus, the neutral grey and brown ground that bold print beautifully.

An animal print loafer (or ballet flat!) can add edge to your everyday pieces. Treat it like a neutral and pair with any color you feel like.

Boldly colored pants are a fall trend anyone can get on board with… even the sartorially cautious. Just make sure to keep the other pieces classic and clean, like the above white button-down.
